We love our place and we hope you will too.

Our environment has been designed to promote relationships, communication, collaboration, and exploration through play.  Equipment & new resources are continually added & rotated to the environment to promote creativity, thinking and problem solving skills, questions, experimentation and open-ended play.

Sustainability

We have started our journey to being a more sustainable centre by adopting a range of initiatives such as using grey water, having a worm farm, growing our own veges, recycling, and encouraging parents to pack waste-free lunches.  The children are part of all of these processes including growing the veges, feeding some to the rabbit, cooking with them and putting waste into the worm farm.

Food

We encourage healthy waste-free lunches and support and encourage our parents with plenty of information and ideas. All children eat morning tea, lunch and afternoon fruit time together.  This can be inside around tables, or outside on a mat under the tree or a picnic on the grass.

We also celebrate a variety of cultures by cooking & eating a shared meal together.  This is done with the help of the children’s parents & whanau.

We are an allergy friendly kindergarten.
